Student Blogging Challenge

This week we have just had a second class confirmed that would like to write to us. This means that we need to get on track with our blogs and communication.

1. Make sure your About Me page is up to date and update or rewrite it if you think you need to
2. Plan your introductory letter to your buddy in Victoria. Make sure you:
a. Look at their blog and spreadsheet details to work out things that they like
b. Incorporate this information in your letter
c. Start by asking them questions about their interests and sharing things that you know on related topics
d. Remember the more information you are prepared to give them, the more they are likely to respond
e. You need to show your buddies that you are interested
f. Before we post them make sure you edit your work very carefully and save and email me a copy of your final letter
g. You need to check spelling, paragraphs, punctuation and that it makes sense

  1. Hi there,
I am the teacher librarian at Tenambit PS in the Hunter Valley, NSW. I began blogging with 10 students from year 4 to year 6 in May this year and have recently added a 2nd group of 9 bloggers from year 3 and 4. We have registered for the blogging challenge and would love to connect with your students. Can we add you to our yet to be created blog roll?

    1. Hi Mrs Riding,

You are welcome to add our blog on your blogroll. Thank you for adding us. I have also added you to our class blog and will be encouraging the students to visit your site when they get back from holidays on Monday.

      1. Hi Mr Pastro,

Fantastic! I will add you to our blog roll. In what state is your school located?
Next week my students will be looking at other blogs and commenting. We’ll look forward to making connections with your students.
